For our first project in Fashion theory we had to choose a group and make a magazine.
We have been given sessions on Illustrator, Indesign and Photoshop. Our lectures where about some issues within the fashion industry and individually we had to come up with a subject we were passionate about and write an essay about it. I have Chosen to do mine on skin bleaching and cosmetic surgery. This would be in the magazine in an article format.

Our group was inspired by magazines like ID, Dazed and Vice. For the font I had an idea of the Dymo and typewriter font as it would look grungy and authentic. The title I suggested the idea blurred as we we're talking about issue that aren't really seen in the media. Looking through Flickr for a front cover I came across Louis Lander photos and thought that it really related to our style, I mailed him for consent and he was happy for it to be used as our front cover.

Working in a group is always difficult, I was really challenged in this project but i was happy with the outcome of the magazine and definitely did all I could.

Sorry, It has been a while since I last posted.
Hope everyone had a great Christmas and New Years!
For the past two months I've just been stressed with Coursework, 2 deadlines and off course trying to get used to this whole Uni life business. I have handed them both in now and have 2 weeks off, which is such a relief I feel that I am finally having my Christmas break.
I was working at Clintons and Accessorize as a Christmas temp, as much as I love fashion, it is unbelievably expensive. I am so Happy I got the job at accessorize, it has given me a more understanding of the fashion industry, and I have always love their style and always wanted to work their, they must of seen so many of my CV's.

In our course we had a trip to London! We went to Dover Street Market and saw some beautiful designer clothes. We had a walk around to see designer shops and some Tailors. Went to Berwick Street and Soho t to fabric shops and haberdashery.
